Return and Refund Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

1. Right of withdrawal

For distance purchases, consumers generally have 14 calendar days from receipt of the goods to notify their decision to withdraw, without having to give a reason.

If several goods from the same order are delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item.

The request may be made:

2. Returning products

After notifying Maison Molinet of the withdrawal, the customer has 14 days to return the products to:

Maison Molinet – Returns
8 rue de la République
84230 Châteauneuf-du-Pape – France

Products must be returned complete, properly protected, in their original condition and, where sold sealed, with the seal intact. The customer is responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and proper functioning of the goods.

3. Wines, spirits and food products

Bottles of wine or spirits sold in the usual way are not automatically excluded from the right of withdrawal merely because they contain alcohol. Subject to legal exceptions, they may be returned if they are unopened, intact, complete and in a condition suitable for resale.

The right of withdrawal does not apply in particular to:

  • goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;

  • sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery;

  • goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised;

  • alcoholic beverages where the specific statutory conditions are met, particularly where delivery is deferred and the price depends on market fluctuations beyond the trader’s control.

4. Return costs

In the event of withdrawal, the direct cost of returning the goods is borne by the customer. Tracked shipping and suitable packaging are recommended, particularly for bottles and fragile products.

If the return is due to a non-conforming or defective product, or to a preparation error attributable to Maison Molinet, return costs approved in advance are covered by Maison Molinet.

5. Refund

The refund is made no later than 14 days after Maison Molinet is informed of the withdrawal. Maison Molinet may withhold the refund until the goods have been recovered or proof of dispatch has been provided, whichever occurs first.

The refund is made using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise, and without additional cost to the customer.

The initial delivery costs corresponding to the standard delivery method offered are refunded. Any additional amount paid for a more expensive delivery method is not refunded.

6. Damaged, defective or non-conforming product

If a parcel is visibly damaged, an item is broken, there has been a preparation error or a product is non-conforming, contact Maison Molinet as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, at maisonmolinet@outlook.fr, stating the order number and attaching useful photographs.

This recommended reporting period does not limit rights arising from statutory guarantees. Depending on the circumstances, Maison Molinet will provide a solution in accordance with the law: replacement, refund, price reduction or another appropriate remedy.

7. Statutory guarantees

Products benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and the guarantee against hidden defects provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.
