  • By car: 15 km north of Avignon via the D17. Free parking in the village.
  • By train: Avignon TGV station, then taxi or car rental (20 min).

The château des papes

When to visit Châteauneuf-du-Pape?

  • Spring (April-June): the vines are budding, the village is calm and pleasant.
  • Summer (July-August): entertainments, Provençal markets and terraces sunny.
  • Autumn (September-October): the harvest! The ideal time to see the vines in action.
  • Winter (November-March): the village is authentic and the cellars welcoming.
