Vacqueyras is the kind of appellation wine lovers discover and continue to follow. Situated between Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it produces powerful, elegant reds with remarkable character. The 2021 from Domaine Grand-Père Jules — sunny and concentrated — is a fine expression of Provençal terroir.

In the glass: deep garnet with an intense nose of black fruit, black olive, garrigue and leather. The palate is dense and warm, with present, well-integrated tannins and a long, spicy finish. A characterful red that will develop beautifully over 5 to 8 years.
