Not every Côtes-du-Rhône leaves a lasting impression. Esprit 2023 from Maison Brotte — a Rhône Valley merchant established in 1931 — is a generous wine for relaxed evenings and shared tables, combining immediate pleasure with authentic southern character.
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet colour and an expressive nose of ripe red fruit — cherry and raspberry — with garrigue and sweet spices. The palate is supple, fleshy and immediately appealing, followed by a fresh finish that invites another glass. An unpretentious, characterful wine from the South.
