La Centenaire 2024 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape Old Vines – Domaine l'Abbé Dîne

Vines planted in 1878, a Féminalise 2026 Gold Medal and yields below 20 hl/ha — La Centenaire is one of the rare Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines still produced from century-old vines.

The colour is deep garnet with violet highlights. The nose opens with blackberry, black cherry and liquorice, lifted by a touch of Provençal garrigue. On the palate, the tannins are silky and the finish is long, with notes of cocoa and flowers. Enjoy now after one hour of decanting with rib of beef or a leg of lamb, or cellar with confidence until 2039.

Domaine l'Abbé Dîne has cultivated these rolled-pebble plots since the 19th century. The Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre blend is vinified without compromising quality for quantity — the bottle expresses exactly what the terroir has given, nothing more.
